Dawn Chorus Walk: Bramshill Plantation
27th May @ 6:00 am - 8:00 am
A short, level walk to hear resident and migrant breeding birds singing at dawn. Learn why birdsong is everywhere at the moment and why birds are singing so early in the morning.
We’re sure to hear many of the commoner birds, such as Blackbird, Song Thrush and Robin, and hopefully one of the rarer inhabitants of Bramshill Plantation, the wonderfully musical Woodlark.
The Woodlark’s latin name is Lullula, a lovely name that must surely have been chosen to reflect its beautiful, lilting “lu lu lu” song. Join wardens Kay & Zoe for a chance to hear it for yourself.
