Heath Week 2026 is nearly here!

Now that June has arrived, there’s a real sense of excitement building within the team as preparations for Heath Week 2026 ramp up. The event programme has now been finalised, and we’d love you all to save the dates in your diary!

Now in its incredible ninth year, Heath Week remains a highlight of our calendar—an inspiring and celebratory week that continues to generate real enthusiasm. Taking place during the first full week of the summer holidays, it offers the perfect opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the magic of the heathlands.

This year, we’re spreading the celebration across nine days, with events taking place throughout the Thames Basin Heaths in Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire—giving even more people the chance to get involved.

There is so much to discover about the heathland and forest habitats that make up this Special Protection Area. Not only is this rare landscape home to fascinating flora and fauna, it also has a rich heritage shaped by centuries of military and recreational use.

Details of all the events can be found on our Heath Week page and you can have a taster of previous years by visiting our Heath Week Gallery.

Please do join in the fun, try something new, and learn about why your local heathlands are so special. The project team and partners are very much looking forward to meeting you!
