Vacancies starting March 2023

Be part of the fun! This is an amazing opportunity to spend time outside on our beautiful heaths, getting to know the organisations that manage them, the wildlife that depends on them and the people that visit them. It’s important and interesting work. No day is ever the same! For example, you’ll receive expert training from surveyors who have studied our ground-nesting birds for decades, team up with the Fire & Rescue Services to help spread the #BeWildfireAware message, you’ll run popup events to talk to visitors about wildlife and, best of all, you’ll be part of Heath Week 2023!

We’ve employed seasonal wardens for seven seasons and this is your opportunity to be part of our 8th cohort! You’ll be employed by Natural England and you’ll have many opportunities to meet fellow Natural England employees and many of our partnership colleagues too. It’s a great chance to get a foot in the door, and many past seasonal wardens have gone on to work in Natural England or other conservation bodies.
