Noticing Nature: Weekly wellbeing walks at Caesar’s Camp
Walks will continue in 2025 from Friday 3rd January: 1pm – 2pm
Spring is finally here!
With the warming temperature and more sunshine, the heathland begins to burst into life. On our walks, we will notice fabulous butterflies, such as Brimstone, Peacock and Red Admiral. The birds’ attention will switch to nesting and they will be singing their beautiful songs to defend territories and impress potential partners.
We will encounter a variety of birds, including ground-nesting Dartford Warblers, Woodlarks and Stonechats. As the season progresses, we’ll spot an amazing range of insects – more butterflies, bees, wasps, dragonflies and hoverflies and the heather will begin to bloom. Spring is truly an exciting time to visit heathland and enjoy a walk at Caesar’s Camp to notice nature.
Please help us to spread the word about these walks 🙂
What are Noticing Nature walks?
Come and explore Caesar’s Camp, with its wonderful landscape, beautiful views and unique wildlife on our weekly Noticing Nature walks. We’ll walk slowly on level ground, looking and listening out for some wonderful animals and plants that call the heathland home. We won’t ever get far, as there’s so much to discover on this amazing habitat rarer than rainforest!
Noticing nature and the changing of the seasons is a great way to unwind and reconnect with your senses.
There’s no need to book, just turn up – but make sure you check information below first!
